Have you ever thought about creating a 2nd income for your military family?  How much would an extra $500, $1000, or $5000 per month help out right now?   Would it make a difference?   I know what you’re probably thinking at this point.  “Sure, Kayla, of course it would help but how in the world can I make that happen?”  Between the constant moves, the child care, the licensing, and the multiple roadblocks that have stood in your way of having a career as a military spouse, having a 2nd income can feel impossible.  Not anymore. Today, I want to share with you the roadmap to creating a successful business from your laptop.

The first step in generating a 2^nd income for your family is to choose the right business idea. I believe the key here is building a business based on YOUR BRILLIANCE. That means taking a real hard look at your own God given gifts, talents, experiences and expertise.  When you create your own business off of the things you LOVE to do, the people you want to help, the products you love making or the people you love working with, that is the key to sustaining, growing and flourishing as a business owner.

Step 2 in generating a 2nd income is to decide on your business model.  This step may help you figure out how you can BEST utilize your talents in a way that will actually be profitable.   Not every business model is going to work for military spouses. For example, any business that needs a brick and mortar location, such as a yogurt shop, cupcake shop or a clothing boutique on Main Street. Those are not going to allow you the freedom to work from anywhere and it’s going to be incredibly difficult to move with you to every location without losing income. We need businesses that are going to be able to pick up and move with us, no matter what. I’m going to show you 5 business models that work really well in order to give you an idea of how you can take what you like to do and develop a 2^nd income for your family.
